The Holocaust Education Trust asked us to share the following information on Lessons from Auschwitz. It is a great opportunity for students.
The Holocaust Educational Trust’s new, interactive, digital learning programme – Lessons from Auschwitz Online (LFA Online) is now open for applications to students in schools and colleges in Northern Ireland.
This unique project enables students to hear from experts in Holocaust education, who will lead them in learning about pre-war Jewish life, the former Nazi death and concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau and the relevance of the Holocaust today. By attending three, interactive, online Live Sessions students will engage in group discussions, hear testimony from a Holocaust survivor and view key sites at Auschwitz-Birkenau using virtual reality. They will also gain exclusive access to our interactive, digital platform, working through self-guided learning modules to further their knowledge.
The Project, which is delivered remotely, is open to students in Year 13 and 14, and we welcome applications for two, three or four students aged 16-18 from your school or college. Places will be offered on a first come first served basis.
Ensure your students don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind opportunity by applying today. Places are free of charge, but limited, so we advise applying as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
