Our Aims

- To foster the teaching of history within the Northern Ireland education system.
- To facilitate the sharing of practical advice and experience between history teachers and educators.
- To keep history teachers and educators in contact with new developments in historical research and new approaches to history teaching.
- To develop and promote cross-community and cross-sector balance, contact and cooperation.
- To establish links with similar associations in Ireland, the UK and Europe.

Membership is open to all those involved in all aspects of history teaching. The yearly membership rate is £15 with a free associate membership available for student and retirees.
